Stitchprint, Essex, England
Stitch Print of Essex were faced with a dilemma
last year in having to print a new fabric
developed for outdoor activities. New Hi-Tech,
breathable, fabrics are becoming very popular
but very difficult to print conventionally as
they have a slippery, almost non-stick
finish. These fabrics are increasingly used in
high impact sports, such as Yacht Racing, Snow
Boarding and Skiing. Faced with this problem
and having to print 150 jackets, each with 6
prints and some in 3 colour, Stitch Print decided
to break new ground and use the MagiCut process.
The result - 32 Yacht crews in the BT National
Match Racing Championship looking absolutely
fabulous. The finished article was subject to the
hardest form of high abrasive activity over a 10
day period and stood up to the task 100%.
Kirsty O'Dell, Production Manager for Stitch Print said "We see more and more breathable
fabrics and we know that the silk screen inks do not perform well on these fabrics. The
MagiCut process works incredibly well and has certainly solved an application problem for
us as well as creating a new business opportunity. The MagiCut process allows us, with
confidence, to explore new areas using these high value garments". MagiCut has been
specifically designed with flexibility and opacity in mind and therefore lends itself
perfectly
to this application. The colours are bright and striking and when used in conjunction with
the reflective Silver stand out in all light conditions. If you have not yet seen the
MagiCut system in use call the sales department NOW for a NO OBLIGATION demonstration.
